AUSTIN, Texas - August 30, 2002 - NetBotz®, Inc., the leading global provider of IP-based security monitoring solutions, today announced that it has signed Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Information (IT) sector, one of the largest federal government contractors, as a NetBotz Distribution Partner. Under the partnership, Northrop Grumman IT will distribute the NetBotz Intelligent Monitoring™ Solution to its government and commercial clients globally, which includes the US public sector (Department of Defense, Federal civil agencies, and state and local governments); a wealth of Fortune 2000 customers; as well as IT outsourcing providers, original equipment manufacturers, resellers and other system integrators.

NetBotz solutions help organizations assure business continuity by providing early warning of conditions that threaten mission critical infrastructures. More than 40 government agencies and departments have already implemented NetBotz. These include the Department of Defense, the United States Navy, the United States Air Force and the Department of Transportation, among others. NetBotz solutions also help organizations extend their existing IT staff and infrastructure to monitor critical assets and improve response-to-resolution time.

The NetBotz Solution
NetBotz is an innovative, cost-effective solution that allows organizations to protect their critical investments, including network infrastructure, equipment and facilities areas, from physical and environmental factors that can jeopardize security, processes and operations. These factors include intrusion and human error as well as extreme temperature, humidity, vibration and the presence of damaging water and harmful power fluctuations. • Wall and rack mounted Network Appliances, the NetBotz and RackBotz , which monitor the physical environment and provide surveillance and early warnings of conditions that can lead to network failure. Appliances have an integrated color camera that can capture and store images of motion events.
• Server-based software, NetBotz Central, which enables users to access, control and configure the NetBotz solution via the Web.
• NetBotz add-on software applications that enhance the base monitoring capabilities of the NetBotz appliances, including the recently announced Advanced NetBotz Device Crawlers, which monitor individual pieces of equipment; NetBotz Surveillance, which tracks and monitors anyone who enters a NetBotz space; and NetBotz Branch Checker, which monitors round trip connectivity from a branch to the central site.
• Support for an array of external sensors and dry contact devices that add to the functionality of the NetBotz solution, including AMP Detector, which offers electric current monitoring capabilities; and NetBotz Last Call, "code blue" dial, and page alerting if power or networking connectivity is lost.
