NetBotz signs first NetBotz Accredited Reseller in Ireland
AUSTIN, Texas - April 02, 2004 - NetBotz®, Inc., the global leader in IP-based intelligent physical security solutions, has announced Crescent Communications as the latest partner in its ongoing Pan-European roll-out.
Crescent Communications is a professional services technology company offering high-value business solutions to clients ranging from small businesses to governmental departments. Crescent provides all the key infrastructure components to bring a client 'online,' and its services include structured network cabling installation, telecommunication and security provisioning, all with full range of management, maintenance and support facilities.
Odhran O'Brien, Senior Account Manager said, "IT infrastructure is becoming highly distributed throughout many organisations, leaving assets increasingly vulnerable to physical threats from both hostile human acts and harmful environmental factors such as extreme temperatures.
By becoming Ireland`s first NetBotz Accredited Reseller we feel that we can offer our customers affordable and capable physical threat security to protect their IT assets. We are excited about bringing this product into the Irish Market and look forward with great anticipation to rolling it out during the coming months," he adds.
NetBotz Accredited Resellers meet a series of training and certification requirements which help ensure the expertise to select, configure, install, and deploy a NetBotz solution that effectively meets client needs. The Accreditation programme provides these partners with exclusive access to configuration and deployment tools, technical support, and many other resources.
The NetBotz solution includes IP-based physical security appliances, called NetBotz. Each has integrated sensors, which capture environmental and ambient information such as temperature, airflow, water, humidity and more; and surveillance-level IP cameras that monitor and alert about motion events such as intrusion. NetBotz has also recently announced that, in addition to monitoring these conditions, they now have the ability to use the alerts generated to automatically trigger output to low voltage relay devices and recycling power, using the NetBotz 500 platform.
Software available for a NetBotz appliance can also monitor the "internal" status of SNMP enabled hardware such as servers, UPS, firewalls and routers with real time operational information sent directly to security staff via Email or from an internally generated web page.
Dave Watkins, NetBotz Managing Director for EMEA said, "We are pleased to announce our partnership with Crescent Communications in Ireland and look forward to expanding our customer base across the country. We believe that it is important to provide local sales and support channels and the strong skill set offered by Crescent Communications is a major benefit to existing and future customers."
