AUSTIN, Texas - February 10, 2004 - NetBotz®, Inc., the global leader in IP-based intelligent physical security solutions, and recent winner of the Deloitte & Touch Rising Star Award, today announced it has appointed Frank LaPlante as vice president, Worldwide Marketing. LaPlante comes to NetBotz from Anixter, a leading global distributor of security, sound and communications connectivity products.
In his new role, LaPlante will manage the company's strategic marketing efforts. This will include scaling up NetBotz' channel marketing initiatives as the company continues to grow to meet global demand for its physical security solution.
As Vice President, Marketing for Anixter, LaPlante oversaw all branding and marketing initiatives for the $3.1 billion dollar distributor. Among his chief accomplishments was the launching of a security product for Anixter that was awarded "Best New Technology" at FOSE, the largest Federal end-user trade show in North America.
