NetBotz Names Gary Franza as Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Former WatchGuard Executive Brings Strong Channel/Sales Experience in
Security and Networking Markets to Fast-Growing Company

AUSTIN, Texas - January 5th, 2004 - NetBotz®, Inc., the global leader in IP-based intelligent physical security solutions, and recent winner of the Deloitte & Touch Rising Star Award, today announced it has appointed Gary J. Franza as vice president, Worldwide Sales. With more than 20 years of experience growing sales and market share for a variety of companies, Franza brings to NetBotz a keen understanding of the security marketplace and successful track record in developing and implementing distribution strategies.

Franza will lead the NetBotz global sales efforts and manage the rapidly expanding channels that deliver NetBotz solutions to market. Close to 2,500 customers in 30 countries around the world use NetBotz to secure their people, places and assets from physical threats.

Before assuming the position as Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Franza was senior vice president, Worldwide Sales, at WatchGuard Technologies, Inc., an Internet security company. There, his global sales and channel development strategies led to record sales and gross margins for the company. In addition, he oversaw WatchGuard's successful effort in capturing a leadership position in the small and medium enterprise market. Prior to his stint at WatchGuard, Franza was senior vice president of Product Management/Business Development with Insight Enterprises, Inc., a $3 billion provider of IT products and services to businesses. Franza has also held executive sales positions at Hayes Communications and Mountain Network Solutions, among others.
